Last updated 15 August 2026 · Applies to the Baby Twinkle Android app and this website.
The short version. Your health information — your dates, your readings, your baby's records — is stored on your phone and is never sent to us. There is no table for it on our server. If you never create an account, we hold nothing about you at all.
Baby Twinkle is built and operated by an independent developer based in India.
For anything in this policy, including a request to see or delete what we hold, use the help button inside the app — the small ? at the bottom of every screen. It opens a conversation and the reply comes back in the app.
The following never leaves your device. It is not encrypted-and-uploaded, not anonymised-and-uploaded — it is not uploaded. The columns do not exist on our server.
Because of this, we cannot recover any of it for you. If you lose or reset the phone, it is gone. The app can export your health record as a PDF, and that is the intended way to keep a copy.
All of it is optional in the sense that it only exists once you create an account.
| What | Why | Kept for |
|---|---|---|
| Email address | To send your sign-in code and to reply to support messages. There is no password. | Until you delete your account |
| Display name and chosen language | To greet you and to serve the app in your language | Until you delete your account |
| Subscription status | To unlock paid features on your devices | Until you delete your account |
| Sign-in sessions | To keep you signed in. We store a hash of the token, not the token. | 180 days, or until you sign out |
| App version and platform | To identify a broken release and to know when to stop supporting an old build | Until you delete your account |
| Support messages you send us | So a human can read and answer them | About 13 months, then deleted automatically |
Support messages are the one exception to "your words stay on your phone", and the app tells you so on the screen where you write one. If you type health details into a support message, those details are stored on our server so that we can answer you. Please only include what is needed.
The free version of the app may show sponsored panels. These are chosen on our own server from a small approved list and are the same for everyone in your language — they are not targeted using anything about you, and no third-party advertising network receives your data or runs code inside the app. Every such panel is labelled as sponsored. Subscribers see none.
If you subscribe, the payment is handled by Google Play. We never see your card or UPI details. Google tells us that a valid subscription exists for your account and when it expires, and that is all we store.
The app is for adults. It records information about a baby or child, entered by a parent and kept on that parent's phone. It is not intended for use by anyone under 18, and we do not knowingly create accounts for children.
Under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act 2023 you can ask us to:
Deleting is built into the app — Settings → Delete account — and is also available on this website without installing anything. It removes your account, your email address, your sessions and your support messages. It does not touch the records on your phone, because those were never ours; uninstalling the app removes those.
Traffic between the app and our server is encrypted with HTTPS, and the app refuses to send a password over an unencrypted connection. Sign-in tokens are held in the Android Keystore on your device and stored only as a hash on our side. No system is perfectly secure, which is the strongest practical argument for the design choice at the top of this page: the most sensitive information in this product is not on a server that could be breached.
If this policy changes in a way that affects what we collect, the app will tell you rather than quietly updating this page. The date at the top is always the date of the current version.
A note on where this document stands. This policy describes accurately what the software does today. It has not yet been reviewed by a lawyer, and a professional review is planned before the app is published on the Play Store. If you spot something here that does not match your experience of the app, please write to us — that is a bug in one or the other, and we want to know.
